Brunch

Here are some pictures from brunch with WL on Saturday. I never usually go for brunch, and by the time I got to the city I was totally starving... how do people do it? Anyway, we ate at this cafe in QVB (I forgot the name! But it's one of those open cafes with the tables in the middle of everything...) and I brought my prime lens out for some exercise.


We shared this... we're excellent breakfast food partners - WL ate the eggs and mushrooms, I had most of the bacon and sausage, we split the tomatoes and toast... but neither of us wanted the baked beans.



Bacon, cheese and tomato in brioche... it was a bit odd because the bread was sweet.



So this is me posting about brunch in the middle of the night here... hopefully it's the right time of day for someone who reads this!

  7. Definitely not the right time of day for me to see. I'm sort of pulling off finishing-things-i-need-to-finish-before-it's-tomorrow-before-i-go-to-sleep. It's around midnight here now. And I have a crave for breakfast now and all I have for breakfast tomorrow is muesli and a banana.

    These photos look pretty nice, and the food looks delicious. I hardly have ever seen such a delicious looking egg... just maybe it has something to do with me being hungry from the start when I got onto your blog. :')

    1. Whoops, sorry about that, haha. I usually have something like that for breakfast as well, I wish I had more time in the morning to make better things. Hope you ended up getting everything done!

  8. Oh my, I'm so hungry right now and it's 11:17pm here in England! I quite like egg and bacon in a brioche roll, I tried it at a breakfast buffet in Paris and it was so good!

  13. yummmmm! i love places that serve all day breakfasts so i can get pancakes for afternoon tea, haha. i never really go for brunch either cause i think i'd be too hungry but eating breakfast out is great. :)

  16. I've never actually been out for "brunch" because during this awkward time of the day where I've been awake since 6am while my friends are still fast asleep. Anyhow, the food looks delicious and having a food partner seems great!

  27. I still can't believe you don't like eggs. I don't know if it's the same cafe, but I had the best eggs benny in the QVB once. Apparently the place on the top level does cheap brekky. It's gorgeous up there, I want to try it.

  35. I laughed when you asked how people do brunch?! I guessing you are an early riser? I love a good brunch esp on the weekends. I usually sleep in and head straight out for brunch.
