Grandfather

Sometimes I want take a break from dressing like a little girl to dress like an old man. I picked up this men's cardigan from Jack & Jones in the ASOS sale. You can find some good stuff in the mens section, but I always forget to look! It's a size S and fits perfectly. It's cotton but nice and heavy and warm.

Jack & Jones cardigan via ASOS, Uniqlo shirt, Jeans West jeans, Wittner loafers.

Thinking of DIY-ing some elbow patches onto it. I don't want to risk ruining it, though!

Who's watching the Olympics? I love it. I dragged myself out of bed at 6am for the Opening Ceremony today. Since it's only on every 4 years, the Olympics (and the World Cup) always make me feel a little nostalgic - I can't believe it's been 12 years since Sydney 2000! To anyone who's there, how's the atmosphere in London?

  1. Loving the cardi! Haha I love wearing men's clothing :D
Elbow patches would be awesome, but then again it would be awful if something happened to it
Unfortunately I didn't watch the Opening Ceremony, heard it was really good though!

  3. I'm actually more inclined to dress like an old man - at least they're warm and comfortable. And there's no shame in being either of those things

  4. looove this!! i love boyfriend cardigans...though this one is quite literally a boyfriend's cardigan, haha! glad it fits!! and it indeed looks very warm :) i'm always so skeptical about buying from the men's section because their stuff are too big for me :( though i sometimes still buy from the boy's section hehehehe~

ahh the olympics! it felt just like yesterday when the beijing olympics was on..but that was 4 years ago! oh how time flies!

  8. I love dressing like a small child or grandparent also (haha) so I like your outfit! A buttoned dress shirt always looks so nice and those colors especially. I saw the Olympics but I wasn't a big fan of the opening ceremony, can't wait for gymnastic though since that's my favorite :)

  14. hells yeah bringing grandpa chic back hehe. i find it personally hard to shop from ASOS due to sizing and all. have u had a pleasant experience shopping online there?

    1. With ASOS, often the sizing and quality of the ASOS branded stuff is a bit of a miss for me. It's good for getting things from other brands though, like this cardigan. That being said, quite a few other people have mentioned that they've had a good experience generally - maybe I'm just unlucky.

  24. I idolise your style Jane, I really do! I think your dress nicely and comfortably but never over the top or anything. It was actually your blog that has been causing me to look for some nice shirts on Uniqlo.

I never thought to check the men's section for things like cardigans, might do that next time!
