When I post pictures of my face

... you know I'm finding life difficult to navigate. We're doing neuroanatomy this term and it's hard. I'm also very worried about final exams, especially the clinical component, because I seem to have the communication skills of a newborn baby, I still can't use my stethoscope properly, and will probably stab myself in the eye with a reflex hammer.

My hair and eyebrows are out of control. I'm growing my hair out because I haven't had proper long hair in seven years and want to see what it feels like. I also kind of want massive Zooey-Deschanel-in-New-Girl curly hair... At the same time, I prefer shorter hair, so I can't wait to cut it.

Both the jumper and shirt used to be my mum's. I was wearing a jumper yesterday, but today was 29 degrees. Where is the consistency?!

Wow that was a load of negativity. Something positive - I booked my accommodation for NYC in December! I've spent so many hours procrastinating by researching places to go. I've got a custom Google maps done with about a hundred colour-coded markers. Not to mention, I've already planned my first day in New York...? I really should be filling my brain with thoughts of brains instead.

Also, just a thank you to everyone who's still been commenting and following even though I'm not around as much! I'm going to return the visits asap.

  1. Aw don't you look lovely! I wish my dad dressed a bit more like I do, it'd be nice to steal a piece of clothing from his wardrobe every now and then haha. 29 degrees sounds crazy, can I go there?? Good luck with studying and the exams, sounds like a lot of work!

    1. My mum just wears middle aged lady stuff and I don't dress like her at all (I hope) but she always has random pieces lying around that I take to!

I would rather have cold, swap places??

  3. Oh yes, I know what you mean, I'm constantly striving for the shiny, lustrous curls that Zooey Deschanel wears.

  5. You are the most adorable person ever! Also, the jumper and blouse are adorable together-- I've never been able to pull that off! (Have you noticed you have a lot of red and navy in your closet? I *love* it. You is classy!)

  6. I'm trying to grow my hair too! If you keep trimming it yourself every so often it helps.

Also, the jumper looks awesome on you!

It must be so exciting booking the accommodation and everything. You are going to have an amazing time! I'll be expecting lots of pictures :B

    1. I've put myself on a scissor ban because once I start cutting my hair I can't stop and I always always regret it haha.

I am super excited, I'm totally getting ahead of myself haha.

  7. NYC?! That's so exciting dude! I visited New York in August and I can safely say I love it, and I miss it. I'd love to see it in winter though! I'm looking forward to these pictures! :)
Neuroanatomy would be incredibly interesting! Best of luck - sounds like hard work.

  8. I know you'll do perfectly fine on all your exams coming up. I remember how dreadful they were, staying up til 4 am, or not even sleeping at all! Hair dilemmas can suck. I had hair all the way down my back and one day I just cut it all up to my chin...and I regret it, right now it's been growing pretty fast, I think you should try out long hair, fight the need to cut!

I'm so happy for your future trip to New York! Take lots of pictures and tell us all how it is! I really need to make a trip there later. :)

  10. I know how you feel! I've been quite stressed with school lately as well. And the weather here in America has been absolutely bonkers! Neuroanatomy does sound extremely difficult--I wish you the best of luck, though I'm sure you won't need it ;)

  17. What a lovely shirt/jumper combo. Those are some of my favorite colors ever! I can relate to the negativity rants that I have to stop myself from going into - that's probably just what school does to every sane person haha. Your subjects sound much more difficult than my art classes, so perhaps I should stop complaining since I don't have to memorize tons of information haah! Good luck on your semester and I'm in the same boat of not posting as much as I wish! x

  18. I'm always in a weird funk with my hair. It's seriously a day-to-day struggle, but having it long leaves room for experimenting, so have fun with it! And I've never been to NYC, but it'll be amazing, I'm sure! City lights, hot dog stands, and crazy taxi drivers. What's not to love? ;)

  19. really liking the combo of check shirt and striped knitwear, i'd defo give that a good, esp with gingham.

ohh nyc sounds good, extreme fun to be had

  20. Haha I just cut 11 inches off of my hair, and now I'm begging it to grow out! Even though I love it short, I loved it more long. When it was long I couldn't get curls like Zooey's or any of the celebrities with perfect hair, booo. I love the length of your hair, though. It's so pretty! :')

  21. NYC! I'm going in January! You have to tell me where I should go! Also, your mum is (was?) stylish.

  22. I also usually wear a shirt then put a really cozy jumper to complete my outfit :) Your jumper is really cute and both of them fits really well!

Anyway, hope everything goes well with your NYC trip, sounds so exciting! Can't wait to see the pics :)) Have a wonderful day!
