January 31, 2013

Three from today

Wore a green dress which I probably shouldn't have bought in the first place. Everytime I put it on, I take it off again because I never feel like it "suits the occasion". I think it should be worn to some sort of garden party.

Spaghetti for lunch with "mangolaide" (mango juice and lemonade) and mentally kicking myself for not ordering the chicken parmigiana Mel got.

Went to the library. Apparently there's going to be a "speed dating with books" night on Valentine's Day (I see myself doing this when I'm 50 and still alone), which begs the question - what book would you take? I wouldn't be able to choose between The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, and Tales of the Unexpected.

// Is January actually already over? This month has gone really slow-fast - I can't remember doing much at all but it went by in a whizz anyway. One more month of freedom!

  1. That dress! So cute, I love it. I kinda' feel that way about a lot of my dresses too. I think you just have to say "screw it, I'm wearing it" and own it.

  2. I think it looks absolutely perfect, it would fit a nice day out to meet your friends and be fancy, or just to be casual but wanting to look cute. But I know what you mean, I feel that way too sometimes, but I still wear it :)
What a coincidence, I made a pasta dish for dinner tonight, but it doesn't look nowhere near as delicious at that!
I had no idea tomorrow was already February, this was the fasted beginning of the year ever. xx

  11. Ooo, that dress is pretty! I love it. Speed dating with books? Do you just sit there and read your book and not have to converse? Sounds like my kind of dating! I cannot believe January is over, that's so scaryyy. I don't want to go back to uni yet :(

  16. You look fantastic in that dress. I don't like to wear dresses myself, but I do love seeing other girls wear dresses.

I would also take my Sherlock Holmes collection (bought for 3 dollars at Barnes and Noble hohohohoh...so ridiculously proud of it). I would also take "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" and probably a Harry Potter book, or maybe "Jane Eyre"?? I can't choose!
