Winter is coming

I feel like the cold came on really suddenly this year. One minute it's cardigan weather and the next it's too cold for a trench coat. I've started to set my heater so it turns on half an hour before I wake up, and the other day I actually started a conversation with "it's cold, isn't it?". I've cracked open this cute tin of Chapsticks Mel gave me, and I keep licking the apple one off my lips in hopes that it tastes as nice as it smells (it doesn't).

Yes, this has actually been a post about the weather. My life has been exceedingly boring; even though I'm off crutches now (yay) I'm still not really confident about walking around a lot so my minimal social life has basically been reduced to nonexistent.

  1. Fantastic news that you can say goodbye to the crutches now! My moms friend had a fall last year and is off hers now but still lacks some confidence with walking. You'll get it back, just take it easy! :)

I have a lip scrub that I keep eating... not the best thing to do haha. It's incredible how delicious lip balms and scrubs are though.

It's getting pretty warm here in England but I'm definitely an autumn/winter girl at heart!

  3. Man hope your knee heals up, maybe you need physical therapy? It's just so odd to hear about winter, when we're going into Summer haha. It's been cold lately so I guess summer doesn't want to come yet.

  8. It's so cold in the morning now, I would invest in a heater....I wear a beanie when I am at home, it is surprisingly effective.

I hope you knee fully recovers by the time semester break rolls around. Did the doctor say it's all OK now? Now it's time to knuckle down to study. T___T

  28. Poor you! We are actually turning into summer now. Weird that our seasons differ! Even though winter isn't as much as fun as summer, you have the chance to stay inside and read al day, which is always a good thing I think. Your outfit is very beautiful as well :). Keep going strong m'lady, you are stunning!

  32. Thanks for the input on the jeans front, i'd say UNIQLO is a great bet. I've heard their Japanese denim is great, for the price too.

  33. Jane! How swell to hear you're of crutches, I hope you'll be fine! Just take it easy and don't push yourself too much! The winter in Sydney sounds like my type of weather. As long as it doesn't rain as much as it does over here. You look cute by the way, the skirt suits you without either making you look like a dewy-eyed schoolgirl or a goth sort of person!

  34. I haven't seen that Chapstick collection before! I love all of the colors, haha. It's so odd reading about it getting cold, when it's warming up over here!
