Underwater

Hello! I haven't been around much because the World Cup has taken over my life, and I'm always tired from waking up in the middle of the night to watch matches. During the day I'm either catching up on sleep or doing work I was supposed to be doing while sleeping. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I got some film from an underwater disposable developed (from this day back in April).

The second pic (that's me!) is my favourite, YY took it.

I also got my first roll of film from my La Sardina developed, but only 8 pictures turned out and they weren't that great or worth posting. I think I might have over/under exposed most of them. Oh well, I'll try again!

  3. Ahhh I remember I was in China one year when the world cup was going on and it was so hard to get up to watch the games. I remember often falling asleep and waking up when someone scored hahaha! Who are you rooting for to win? (Australia I assume??) hahaha I am hoping Germany will win it this year! They are looking pretty good so far!

    1. I'm supporting Australia but there's no chance of us progressing now so I'm going to have to pick another team after the group stages! I watched Germany play Portugal, they were looking pretty good indeed!

    1. Oh that's odd - I wasn't sure whether these would turn out well because it was actually past expiry. Lucky, I guess!

  9. How cool, I really like how that first picture of the sea turned out! I've been wanting to get back into film photography for awhile now, but since Big W doesn't process them anymore I'll have to find another option (and learn how to use my camera again)...

    1. Luckily there's a place which still develops film near me, I called up my closest Big W about it as well and I think if you take your roll into the store they send em out to a lab to get it processed? Might be worth asking about :)

  12. Hooray for the World Cup! The photos look so nice though, love how it looks! I am so sad I have not developed any photos and I think I've had my camera for almost a year...I need to fix it :(

  13. Yours still turned out great, I had an underwater film camera that were blurry above water.. so they were made to only have photos taken underwater.. But you still look fab! Yeah getting the knack of film photography requires time... I can't wait to see what else you've shot.

  16. I love these photos! There's something so cool about disposable film. As I rarely go to the beach I never tried the underwater camera but I'm eager to do it after seeing these.

  17. Looove the result and definitely love the second picture! I can really feel the summer vibe by just looking at these pictures. I know how you feel, I've been on that position when my first roll got nothing in it. I think that's what makes film interesting :))

  18. I recently found some underwater camera shots from when I was a teenager, and they were not as good as I thought they were! It's difficult to get a good shot with them!

  19. These are so cool, I love #3 and #4! Also, I haven't actually developed film in forever. I remember doing it when I was younger and we used the disposable cameras. Getting the pictures was always such a fun experience. These days I have too much of it saved on my computer and not enough printed on my walls :)

  22. lomo cameras always take a bit of experimentation. it's funny because they have this reputation for being fun and easy but because they have such limited capabilities/settings you actually have to understand quite a bit about photography and lighting etc to get the results you want which is a lot more difficult than with digital where you can see when a shot is over/under exposed and you can take it again. but it's worth playing around with them more and sticking with it, i remember i got a roll of film from an underwater camera developed a while ago that i really liked but then when i tried to use the camera again it leaked and i couldn't get the roll developed cause it had rusted :(
