2015

This is my 2015 diary from Muji, which Wai Lam kindly bought for me in Melbourne (it slipped my mind to look for a diary in the US). I've been using Moleskines for the past four years, but they're expensive and I feel like this cheaper Muji one has everything I look for in a diary - monthly views, and then weekly views with the days down one page and a blank page facing for general reminders (because what if your to-do list stretches over the week?).

Last week was my first one back at uni, and it was intense. I'm going into my last two years of med school now so I'm going to be at hospital for most days of the week, and the majority of the time I don't really know what's going on. I may or may not have cried a bit from exhaustion as I drove home last Thursday... wish me luck for this week.

  2. I am really picky with diaries too ever since high school ended. I like the plainer ones from Kikki K but I definitely keep an eye out for Muji ones in the coming year. Good luck with uni! I am actually quite jealous that you'll be at hospital most days of the week haha. I loved placement as exhausting as it was! x

    1. Ah I feel like the ones from Kikki K are too cute for me, I'd ruin them with my ugly writing! I guess placement is better than lectures!

  3. You're a life savior Jane! I was supposed to buy a 2015 journal today, but forgot! I'll remember tomorrow. Just 2 years! Stay strong, and you know we are all rooting for you :)

  4. Love this diary - it took me ages to find a diary this year... I really don't like the ones that have a day to a page (how are you supposed to plan your whole week that way?) so this one would have been perfect for me!

  6. AHhHh I wish I've gotten that one instead. I panicked and got the one with only the weekly view. But muji is love one and the same

  7. Muji is definitely one of my favourite stores for office staples. Their acrylic storage boxes are also amazing for make-up. I love this diary, I wish I could make myself use them but I always end up just putting everything on my phone calendar ahah

    1. I really want a Muji in Sydney, I only ever get to browse there when I'm travelling so I'm not looking to try and get storage etc into my luggage! Same, my reminders always end up split between my diary, phone and laptop.

  17. Ooo, I saw the Muji one in stores, but I couldn't bear to part with my Moleskine. I just love seeing the same planner year after year line my shelves! And best of luck with school. I hope that things settle down, and that you can find some peace among the chaos.

  18. What a lovely diary! I'd be lost without a way to keep track of where I need to be all the time. I completely sympathise with the exhaustion of hospital placement too!

  22. Sounds the same as Moleskine in terms of layout, all you need. I usually get mine from eBay, for around £8.

    1. I had a look on Ebay but I couldn't find any cheap ones when it came to included shipping prices. This Muji one was $7.50, so quite a bit cheaper when taking that into account!

  24. I really need to figure out a way to incorporate a journal or a diary in my life. I miss keeping it but sometimes I feel like I'll be repetitive because I use google docs for my scheduling and memory keeping on instagram and blog and so i am not quite sure what i'll use the journaling for. i have to figure out not to be repetitive and enjoy it. and good luck to you!
