Just poking my head in to say Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year to everyone who celebrates it! This is a photo from when I was in Shanghai for last year's Chinese New Year, when we went to see the lights at Chenghuang Miao. I have lots of relatives there so I turned a neat profit of red envelopes... I should go every year. Anyone doing anything special?

I was in Shanghai for Chinese New Year in 2012. I don't celebrate CNY because it's not part of my culture but nevertheless I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant yesterday, so that would be my way of acknowledging this holiday! :)

I somehow seem to be alone or with friends the past few Chinese New Years - I could've had such a tidy CNY red pocket turnover if I timed it better LOL.

ReplyDeleteHappy CNY Jane! I've only been in China during CNY once and oh boy it was hectic. It would be nice to go back during that time in the future. They don't seem to care much about 31st Dec/1st Jan over there haha.
