Korean BBQ on Tuesday night at Sydney Madang. It's super fun - you order the meats you want and cook it on the grill built into the table - but you just need to sort of keep an eye on things. I greatly enjoy the little side dishes you can keep getting refills of.

Afterwards, we went to Aqua S, which is apparently the newest ice cream craze in Sydney (it's in Regent Place, across from Chanoma the green tea cafe). Their signature is this blue sea salt soft serve, but I played it safe and went for chocolate with a marshmallow. I was regretting not getting the fairy floss topping instead until Wai Lam's fairy floss began to melt over her hands from the humidity.

Korean Barbecue is always the best idea.
ReplyDeleteI went to a Korean BBQ place that had the vent right close to the grill and I thought it was so odd but I guess it makes sense. I see it here too!
ReplyDeleteIt does make sense but it sort of gets in the way too haha!
DeleteOur generation really likes these mash-up desserts. I'm pretty simple, so a macaron-ice cream sandwich is !!! to me. Cotton candy ice cream, goodness!
ReplyDeleteI initially thought the cloud was foam.
Haha so many new dessert places trying to out-do each other, interesting to see what people come up with I guess!
DeleteIce cream and fairy floss?! Looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat's nuts, both cooking the meats yourself and those ice creams. Winner!

DeleteYum, I absolutely love KBBQ! I've been to Sydney Madang before, but usually go for the other dishes there. That ice cream looks epic by the way, haven't tried it yet but I've seen it all over instagram!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that looks amazing! I remember as a kid we had this restaurant near us that had a grill in the middle of the table and you could cook your steaks and fish on it. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
