Click these: to eat, to visit, to buy

Pre-movie dessert at Oliver Brown. We watched Kingsman, which was actually really funny and good.

Click these Whew! The first 8 weeks back at uni flew by. It's been busy and I've been in a constant state of tiredness, but I've enjoyed the first term. I'm probably not studying as hard as I should be, but at least I'm not burnt out yet and I feel like I've got enough in me to keep going until Easter break (planning a roadtrip for that week!).

  5. I have the same issue with my camera. I love my DSLR as well but it is a heavy baby hahaha. One photographer I like a lot uses the Fujifilm X100, which takes gorgeous images!

  9. I went through a no-dslr phase and then realised I still wanted a dslr for travelling, because the quality was incomparable, so I ended upgrading and doubling the bulk ahh. No regrets.

    1. My DSLR's quality isn't that much better than my iphone's quality in sunlight right now, so I'm definitely going to do some sort of upgrade soon haha!

  10. HEALTHY...CHOCOLATE...CHIP COOKIE? WHAT??? I saw that XO Vain article a while back and for some reason it blew my mind (which it shouldn't, because diaspora is everywhere). It is so true though, what the eff is 'Parisian beauty' anyways? (That Picasso comment + the responses to it are A++)

Speaking of DSLRS, I just found out today that certain concert venues will ban you from entering if your camera looks too 'professional'. WHAT. Anyways, I'm going to a few concerts this year, and I'm pretty bummed about this news. Wonder if I'll be bummed enough to switch to a mirrorless/high end point and shoot :I

  11. Aw thanks for linking me!

I don't own a DSLR and have wanted it (somewhat) for quite some time. However a) the weight/ bulk is something I can't quite convince myself on b) when travelling/ going places I just love being able to put my p&s in my pocket. Although I have to admit it is a snug fit these days.

    1. See I wouldn't have even known your photos weren't from a DSLR to be honest!

  12. I agree with the DSLR! While I do love my Canon 7D, when I pair it with my every day go-to lens it's toooo heavy! I have been having my eyes fixed on Fujifilm for a while now. So much more compact and great quality!

    1. LOL! I think it will be easier for me to downsize the camera than get a husband haha.

  17. Aww thanks for including my post! I loved that article about French beauty being a lie - it's definitely something I've always thought when I read those stupid articles!
    Thanks lovely (: x

  18. I don't really like people who have the latest DSLR and the expensive lens, but have it all in automatic and have no clue what aperture is etc.. :x

  19. I totally read that French girl article and thought it was interesting. I mostly thought that "French Girl Fashion" was just a way-to-dress. But I guess it's such a broad term on such a small amount of people I can understand why someone would be frustrated. Interesting thoughts!

  20. Thanks for the shoutout, Jane! I've been looking for a more portable camera too, not that there's anything wrong with my DSLR but I think I'm just getting lazy haha. Besides, it'd be nice to have something that I can take everywhere for spontaneous snaps :)

  21. I scrolled through all of these, and I especially liked the "bloggers and their camera" bit. I'm finding new ways so get around making pictures without always taking my big camera, it's lovely but it stays heavy and big. Thanks for the links! x
