Art and crepes and noodles

Last Thursday I felt like I deserved some fun so I went into the city after work in the morning.

First stop, MCA.

Energies by Haines and Hinterding is currently exhibiting. This was pretty cool - a massive screen and motion sensors so you could control the landscape that was projected.

A lot of the pieces incorporated audio. I actually found it a bit overstimulating.

Went upstairs to see what else was new.

Up on the sculpture terrace.

I had a hankering for crepes at this point, so I popped over to Creperie Suzette in The Rocks, which YY had introduced to me few weeks ago.

Apple and cinnamon.

Then I went for a shop around and met up with YY and Jenny for ramen at Ippudo. Definitely been ramen weather lately!

  10. Again, I must say that your contemporary art museums are SO much more cheerful than the one in Chicago. I went into mine, and came out feeling scared and anxious, haha.

Sydney looks beautiful - wish I could visit!

  11. Loving the pieces! And you can never go wrong with ramen. If you ever stop by Los Angeles, Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle is a MUST; it's the best, probably in the whole U.S. (no kidding)!

  13. Yum, that crepe looks awesome! It's funny because I always go to museums & galleries when I'm overseas but hardly ever go to them in Sydney. The last time I went to the MCA was for Vivid a few years ago when they had the Clock showing - not sure if you remember that? It probably would have been about 3 years ago though which says something about me!

  14. You find the best art installments! Also is that the same Ippudo in NY? Is it worth the hype?

  15. I'm really digging the light pieces of the museum! The crepes look tasty - I haven't had any in a while, but that's probably better for my health ;)
