Bratislava wasn't originally on our itinerary, but when I read that it was only an hour by train from Vienna we decided to make a day trip of it. It still blows my mind how close together major cities can be in Europe. To be honest, the first time I'd heard about Bratislava was when I watched Eurotrip, and this scene was much quoted that day. All jokes aside, the old town of Bratislava was really, really lovely - now on my list of favourite old towns. A day was definitely more than enough to cover it. We didn't do a walking tour or too much research before going, so these are just going to be pretty pictures with no context.

It was actually pretty crowded with tourists, these are mainly the clear shots I got.

A staircase is always a good sign.

The view from the castle. You can see the city outside of the old town is quite built up - it would've been interesting to see what it's like in what I assume is the main business/shopping district.

Stumbling upon the city walls.

An abandoned building that reminded me of Cuba.
