Meknes and Volubilis

After Rabat, we moved onto Meknes. I'd never heard of it before booking the trip but apparently it's one of the imperial cities of Morocco.

The old royal granaries.

And former royal stables.

Inside the medina.

A camel burger for lunch. Once I got over the idea it was camel it was quite tasty.

Then we went to Volubilis nearby, which are Roman ruins.

It's still being excavated. I thought it was so cool - I never thought about Romans in Morocco before!

It was super pretty in the post-rain sunshine with all the spring flowers coming out.
