December 28, 2018

Started the year with dull summer that was revived at the end by a quick trip to Melbourne.

Worked on getting my place looking like a home.

Trip to Morocco in March.

Another Biennale year.

Brisbane in June for another course.

Once again joined the crowds at Vivid.

Winter, usually my favourite season, was a black hole of job applications this year.

I was happy when spring sprung, and celebrated with going to the Hidden exhibit at Rookwood Cemetery.

Squeezed in a trip to Orange to see a friend.

Finally got to throw a Halloween party! I also had a Christmas party which I did not decorate for to a similar standard; as I've been telling everyone, Halloween is just much more my aesthetic.

For the first time in a long time I'm enjoying summer and the longer days. I've been getting to the beach quite often, working on my tan.

All in all, 2018 was a bit of a bust, to be honest. I spent most of the year stressing about jobs, and I don't feel like I grew that much this year as a doctor. I neglected this blog, and hardly read any new books. On the other hand, I am definitely getting the hang of this living out of home and alone thing! I'm nervous about the new year starting - time is passing way too fast - but I'm starting my dream job, and I'm plotting a trip to Patagonia for my leave, so there are good things ahead. I hope everyone's having a great holiday season!
